Think I'm going to have to get a 18-200mm lens for my A200
*cough* Better camera *cough*

Some time later.....

I have just seen the price for a 18-200mm lens

How much does a 18=200mm Nikon lens cost?

Re: ***Prepare To Be Blown Away! "Amazing Day" Is An Understatement!!!***

awesome pics wimmer! You really did go all out today eh?

few things:

1) I think the first grey 997 is just a GT3 and not the RS (colour and rear book shelf spoiler)
2) The grey RS6 wagon blew my socks off! so sexy with the RS4 wheels.
3) I noticed both the E63 and the SL63 dont have any badges on the rear? It it common for people to order AMG's with rear badge deletion?
4) Your photography has indeed come a long way, I envy your skill
5) Im loving your forum tags, LMAO

Thanks again for sharing Wimmer!

Most people get their Mercedes without any badges here in germany. AMGs, CDIs, and any normal Mercedes - there are just a few with a badge. We also get our CDI without any badge. In my opinion it is much better looking…

But in the last year – this is my very own experience – there are again more Mercedes with badges again. Maybe to show, that they have the money to get a better engine. Don't know…

My 18-200mm cost € 699. There is also a 55-200mm lens from Nikon which costs around € 299, but that is a telescopic lens. I wanted a wide-angle lens that also combines elements of a telescopic lens, hence the 18-200mm was my choice.

You can apparently also buy lenses from SIGMA that will work with Nikon DSLR cameras and they're much cheaper too.

Well, I was walking around from about 13:00 to 16:00, so basically 3 hours of car hunting. After that I spent another hour on the way home taking pictures of Munich - in HDR form. Working on them right now.

Very common. Which is pretty weird since a real car enthusiast can tell that that car is an AMG, M etc.

But it is also common on normal Mercedes or BMWs like an E350 or 535i. There is something in Germany called Sozialneid (social jealousy) where people are jealous if they see you driving a Mercedes E350 or a BMW 535i. But with the badges removed, the common man will be wondering if it might not just be an E200 Kompressor or 520i.

Thanks. The trick is to just keep practicing and of course let yourself be inspired by the professionals or fellow forum members, car magazines etc. Once you do that you will quickly see that the photographic creativity will come to you too.
