I don't know much about the Mustang but the Adenauer is a classic Mercedes and I know quite a bit about them. The most important facts about it are that it was powered by MB's first post-World War II 6-cylinder engine (the same one found in the 300SL but not so strongly modified). Quite a few are still around. They're not really rare but they're not very common either. The really rare ones are the "Convertible sedans" of which only 51 were made: and I spotted one in my town!

Chancellor Konrad Adenauer was very fond of this car and made it his governmental limousine. That's how the car got the name "Adenauer". That's about all there is to say about the car. Technologically speaking it was very simple.

And, just a random question: what was the difference between the 170 and 220's with this body style? There's a '220' on Wikipedia that looks exactly the same (I thought it was a 170 when I saw it):



Is it just the headlights? Or is it a different body entirely?
