German Car Zone

The last two weeks I was on holiday together with my wife and we took a road trip to Germany with our '89 mini. We drove to Ammerland not that far from Munich in four days using only secondairy roads. We came across a lot of beatiful things, sceneries and castles, but as we took a total of 700 pictures I unfortunately cant' post everything here. What I will share with all of you are the amazing cars we encoutered during our holiday. Ammerland is about 10 km from Starnberg and in this small town you have the highest density of Millionaires in all of Germany. And this is the result of all these rich Germans.
We also went to the new BMW museum where we met Wimmer. And I can only say that we enjoyed this meeting very much. He is a really great guy and is great with his camera. I even have some pictures of 'wimmer in action' and I guess tghose are rather rare

We also ahd the oppotunity to visit the garage of a guy that lives there who my family that live there now. He is a great guy and he really loves cars. Here are some shots of his toys. Under the black sheet is a Murcièlago in orange and in the back ground you can see his Miura. But this is his latest toy, a Ford GT

In Starnberg there also is a Ferrari and Maserati garage and that is where I met this babe, yep an MC12 corsa:

Had a great time there with you and your wife. Man, you sure know your BMW history and facts! Maarten is a walking BMW history book!

Say, that camera of yours has some really good picture quality!

Oh yeah! Wimma' in action! You guys should have seen me at the Pinakothek (the MB exhibition). I took several shots while lying flat on my stomach and peering through my camera. The few folks who were there thought I was nuts.

But a professional photographer once told me, "In order to get that one magical shot, you have to take risks!" <-- I like live by that now.



I sleep inside that little BMW minivan concept on the top floor. Very roomy.
