Viper meets pathfinder, meets tacoma, meets trailer... - 03-24-2008, 05:22 PM

My father's building a new BMW dealership out here in California and there happens to be a Dodge dealership that just sold a brand new Viper SRT10 that ran into some trouble...

AFTER a customer purchased the vehicle the dealership decided to fill it up with some gas for the gentleman, with that said the salesman and a technician got in the car and drove off. Rather than landing at the gas station they launched the car into a Pathfinder, that then went into a Tacoma, that then went into a trailer... Just think about how fast they must have been going!!

What will happen at this point, I don't know. But I do know that if it were me, I would be PISSSSSSSSSSSSED!!!!

I know that

but I can't post them, I'll have Osnabrueck post them when his lazy A$$ gets back to his desk...

Joy of a new car & when it's a car like Viper, can make you go insane with no problem ...!

Point to be noted here is that, Viper is not as strong as it looks ...!

^^ Then there's two points you can take away from this incident:

1 - A Viper can induce reckless driving almost instantaneously
2 - Be careful about number one because the car is toast if you mess up

According to somebody who knows about this stuff, the Viper is number one amongst cars crashed on the way home from the dealership.

I think having a car like this is like winning the lottery. Its best that you just wait a couple weeks to calm down before you go spending all that money, or in this case, power. But then that doesn't apply in this case, since it was the dealer who was driving the car! So maybe, like guns, Vipers also need a "cooling off period." They should go directly from the factory to the owner's garage, upon which time the horespower is limited to 200hp until the limit expires.

The Viper is a very dangerous car, no traction control, poor grip and loads of power going to the rear wheel. Very easy to get into trouble with that car.

Nice avatar Luwalira...

The viper in my opinion is much like a sharp chisel, as odd as it may sound it's true. An average person uses a chisel maybe 10 times in their lifetime for what it was designed for and about 10000000 times for what it wasn't. The rest of the time they use it as a door wedge, a box cutter, and my favorite... wait... wait... a flat head screw driver!

In other words, the Viper is a track car, yes you can use it for the road, but it was designed for the track.

I'm not too fond of the car myself but after spending many hours with pro drivers they say when driving that car on the limit it's much like dancing on thin ice with construction boots, fun, but dangerous.
