Nope. It's probably used when people want a special car for some occasion, but also for regular taxi duty. In the picture, it's lined up waiting for customers outside the railway station - I just cropped the other taxis out of the picture.

This is very interesting. The most common taxis here are pre fl E-Classes and many many Vectras and Nissans and hell a lot of Octavias. The point is that all taxis here are sedans which is not always practical. I have seen many estate and MPVs as taxis in other european countries. But not here. And i don't like it because i used very often taxi services, since i want to avoid driving after drinking.

Last week I visited Slovenia with my class. Among other stuff we visited Technial museum where Tito's (ex Yugoslavian marshal) cars were. I was stunned by the largeness of those cars..Mercedes 540 K, Rolls-Royce Phantom Silver IV, Cadilllac El Dorado, Lincoln Continental, some AutoUnion, Puchs, Horchs, etc...It was amazing, I sat in Lincoln Continental although it is strictly prohibited. Sorry for the mobile phone photos, I was too lazy and tired to use digital one.
