This isn't good. I hate to drudge up 5-year-old arguments from the days when Chris Bangle was controversial, but this has Flame Surfacing v1.0 written all over it, in a very unflattering way.

The awkwardness of the lines make me think of a couple Bangle penned for Fiat (forget the name), that had cumbersome and somewhat ridiculous slashes above the fenders.

Subsequent designs from BMW, and the work coming out of Mazda have show how this technique can be put to practical use. This Seat is stuck back in the conceptual phase and stikes a discord that reminds me alot of BMW's fussy "X Coupe" concept.

On the other hand, I like the interior. It doesn't look like material quality is great (which isn't a surprise), but the composition clicks with me.

lolz, tha pretty sums up the car. The non parallel character lines worked quite well on the concept, but on the production car it's simply an "out-of-the-box"-disaster. Coupled with the busy front the designer of this car clearly has a fetish for lines.

I like the FIAT Coupé a lot.

About the Ibiza, I think we will have to wait for the 3dr FR and Cupra versions.

the only thing that really annoyes me, is that the rear is so far away from the concept, some stronger expressions would have given the car a better stance

3 door will look drastically different from this 5 door apparently. The 3 door is meant to be "coupe" like and look pretty much like the bocanegra concept. SEAT themselves pretty much say its a different car that just so happens to share the same name, although it might not be called ibiza.

5 door is the family car designed for more widestream appeal whilst 3 door is for the ones who want a really sporty car.

5 door version looks like ass though.

Ι actually like it a lot!

I think it's a case like many BMWs models when it a like it or hate it situation and i 'm on the "like it" side.

Can't say that I like it. The crossing lines on the side look awkward. The middle part of the front bumper reminds me of the M6's bumper.

It seems a shame Seat couldn't make it more like the concept, which IMO looked awesome!

I can't see seat meeting their new sales targets, if they keep on making cars which all look the same!

why would you expect the 5 door 1.2 and 1.4 versions to look like the concept? The cupra will look like the concept.

Well I sure hope so, that would be a nice surprise!

Although it's very unusual a concept turns into a production car without too many changes!
