There has been a lot of controversy regarding the MINI Crossover.
With some reports stating that the car will be cancelled or BMW have gotten cold feet regarding the Concept.

Far from it. Shooting begins today in Vienna , Austria in time for a launch at the Geneva Auto show in March , deliveries will begin in September 2010.
The delay is primarily the switch over for the X3 to South Carolina.
The recent European introduction of the X3 xDrive18d has proved to be immensely popular especially when Germany were under the car scrappage initiative. With customers now moving towards the new BMW X1 , X3 production is slowing down and over in the USA the training for first pre-production prototypes should be seen very shortly around the plant.

Shooting begins in Vienna before moving to the Austrian Alps and other locations , continents. That represent the flexibility and urbanism of the new MINI Crossover. The MINI Crossover is shorter than the new BMW X1.

First pictures will be seen after the Detroit Auto show and a web teaser and social network site for the MINI Crossover begins in mid-late December.
