![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ^^ He says the Megacity vehicle will not appear under a fourth brand, but under a BMW sub-brand (like M is). And that it will be electric only. It also will be very impressively advertized. The text also says that BMW surprisingly made profit this quarter of the year. Concerning the VAG scale-savings, Reithofer says: "there are only two pure-blood premium manufacturers, BMW and Daimler. Other carmakers like Audi are a mixture of mainstream and premium manufacturer." Take this, Audi! ![]() (I'm confident we will see an interesting answer from VAG to this...) He also says that volume is not everything. He also confirms BMW is in talks with PSA for a cooperation in the motor department.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | That is true but in regards to our success with MINI we have the best team working on the marketing proposals . 3 concepts have been put forward as the development of the brand continues apace. The first Concept is a hugely modern twist on the original campaign making the car lovable and iconic similar to the Museum piece where you see these iconic miniatures of the Isetta doing fun things by breakdancing - spinning on their roof , lovablely chase each other , drive round in circles etc. The other concept will feature a sort of sci-fi futuristic dystopian future like clinical approach like an i-pod. There are rumours that Apple will be working with BMW on the driver interface for the new car , As BMW have suggested a unique selling point for the car either with touch screen technology or scroll wheel for some controls such as climate or entertainment this would fit in with some interior sketches seen that the cars dash is very minimalistic. One thing is certain that i-Setta will be like MINI and purely driven by it's iconic status and modern culture. |

![]() | Still a bit confused. Sounds like BMW has confirmed the 'megacity' ev will launch as a sub-brand, like BMW M, in the middle of next decade. But no mention of i-Setta, Isetta, or whatever? Where's that coming from? The traditional "unnamed BMW source"? |
