Mine was related to the X1

I honestly believe the X1 isn't appealing, I still won't to know who the target audience is for...

Btw who removed the picture of the X1 concept in my post?

Yes, I understood that and I'm not in a position to admonish you for it.

The idea is to engage in meaningful debate and not to trivialise the information being provided by a representative of a manufacturer. The sharing of factually-supported opinion on this forum is encouraged. Smart-alec, post-whoring is not.

As pointless as so many SUVs may be there is a long-observed shift in consumerism away from conventional road cars to more lifestyle orientated crossover vehicles. The X1 is, in my opinion, one of the less pointless crossover vehicles to come out of the BMW SAV stables. It merges the outdoor living image with a city dwelling compact more convincingly than many other SUVs out there. I like the idea of it.

Again, it's not to have any beef with you but rather a request for you to see things a little differently before starting a "this + this = that" food fight.

When I get back from MINI United I will be having a moderate clear out

The entire 1er line is all about joy , joy to drive , joy to behold and joy to own.

With the X1 we are expanding the family for others that would like better flexibility in their lifestyle. I think we are successful with these cars such as MINI and indeed the 1er because marketing have given these cars a personality something the customer wants to be apart of.

I make no excuses for the design as I think when you see the car in motion it is equally desirable in compactibility and proportions plus it will be modern and without serious competition (at first) in the premium segment.
We like to think that this car can do for BMW what the X3 done - create a new segment , I have no doubt there will be comparisons similar to the introduction of the X3 about how close it is to the dimensions of the X3 but as we said before when the next X5 (E70) comes along the X3 will make sense, just as when the next X3 is unveiled in December the X1 will make better sense.

As for customers to this car it is true we are aiming to capitalize on the younger demographic with a youthful image with the X1 as we know that many of our younger customers enjoy a wide range of multi-activity sports as well as some that prefer multi-activity retail therapy.
But also we know that there are first generation X5 customers out there who have kept on to their car who might see an advantage under the european legislation for the current scrapping incentive or indeed down size to somthing smaller.

The X1 can be fully specified up to the standard of an X5 even though the model is the xDrive 2.0d , X1 will also feature exceptional efficient engines and the features of "Efficient Dynamics".

As a standard feature of every 1er from the 116d to the 135i Coupe .
The X1 will be an exceptional car to drive with apparent focus on the enjoyable abilities you would expect with a 1er.
So the customer can have their own experience of joy.

Finallly yes!

We have a target audience...

Okay so this car is aimed at the younger youth? Well okay would you like a 1st hand opinion from a youth?
Many of my friend who do "multi-activity sports" use much more jugged vehicles E.g Land Rovers. We don't want some weak looking half-arsed wonna be off-roader.Then theres the women who prefer "retail therapy" younger women don't want to be driving a big car, they would much prefer a SLK, Z4 or TT.

I don't like it, we don't want cars like that, personally I'd prefer the 3-series estate it's much more sportier, And if I did want something a little more rugged for "muilt-activity sports" I'd buy a A4 allroad.

Do you just make this up or actually do research? This is aimed at completly the wrong audience.

I'm going to get killed for this
