For some reason the diesel fuel seems to be more expensive as well.

Mileage but also because the fuel price is normally cheaper, it costs more only when you purchase the car.

I wonder if BMW are also working on tri-turbo powerplants for the petrol engines? They seem to be making excellent progress with forcced induction.

Hmmm, I think you say this because of Scott´s speech. I wouldn´t hype myself with the M5 having an exclusive engine because even the M CEO said the X5 M and X6 M engine was comming to other cars. Also you have that BMW has now started to offer only a few engines, but with variety of degrees of tune and turbo charging (all the I6 line up for example).

Also the numer 555 hp looks just perfect for the M5.
