Autocar - Mini's future has five doors The term SpaceBox is derived from the feeling of Space inside the Concept meaning excellent visibility and with the option of a full or partial panoramic roof increases the amount of space from inside the cabin. MINI SpaceBox will be the only five door MINI With the MINI-X being a seperate entity. MINI SpaceBox is aimed at the family who do not want four wheel drive but would like a feature of usable utility in a MINI. We tested the four wheel drive MINI Concept with consumer groups and found that although seen as a viable option the MINI-X would not be enough for some who crave a MINI with room for a family and extra utility. The concept for MINI SpaceBox begins from a foursided shape and inside there is practical space , therefore emitting a lot of light into this space. MINI SpaceBox takes it's Concept from the Architecture world. Think of MINI SpaceBox as a Progressive Activity MINI. |

| I might be confused here, but is this the same thing that Autoblog was talking about of a BMW joint venture with Fiat?
