Scott did mention that the E92 CSL (if it does go into production) will be the first ///M car to feature KERS and it would be the pinnacle of ///M. I doubt they would unleash it on the X6/X5 M

As for the car it is one possible route for the design to take. The RR Phantom style lights is one alternative as is two single headlights of past BMW tradition , another option is a type of grille similar to the M1 Hommage that widens to reveal enclosed headlights. The rear if they show you that is just circular rear lights (think 2002) in one example with a more modern shape in another example. The next 1er will be very avantgarde in it's design to showcase a very modern insignia to the 1er product line and indeed the segment particular the Golf VI when you see how far imagination can take you in this segment. Like the 1st generation of 1er The new 1er will again be unconventional choice in a sea of unlimited convention. Wait till you see the Compact Activity Sedan. That is an interesting design especially for the segment people will associate it with. Every generation of M5 has always brought something new to the segment that completely outcasts it's rivals . The F10 will be no different. The intention with the M5 as has always been is not to shout about it's purpose , that is why the M5 has always been a car that speaks for itself and we know the competition hears every word. |
