No need to spend money if not necessary (marketing costs of introduction of 2er TM). So only one family / series: 1er. Quote:

I like that idea, it would kind of being like AMG, lots of power and comfort. That would contrast well with the hardcore M series. The H makes sense now and i guess but we will just have to wait and see until we finally see these badges. |

Do not worry because,there is already an I6 3.246 litre engine, that was delivery such numbers:remember the old Iron block S65 engine in the M3 CSL. So with newer technologies, I won't be surprised if we see a lower displacement I6 engine with the same numbers. The S65 engine was putting out 111 HP/litre in 2003. If you apply that to a base 3.0 litre N53 engine will yield 333 HP. An additional 8% increase due to new technology =360 HP. So I see the engineers pulling this off.
