  | Volkswagen Scirocco R32 Teaser?  Volkswagen Scirocco R32? Teaser image surfaces With the Volkswagen Scirocco now out in the public domain, Volkswagen appears to be on a campaign to keep our attention piquied with this teaser shot that has been floating around cyberspace. The image shows a darkened glimpse at the front end of a potentially beefier Scirocco, with the R in the reflection colored the bold blue that has become the trademark color of Volkswagen's performance badge. If the R-type Scirocco got the same 247-hp 3.2-liter VR6 and 4Motion all-wheel-dive from its Golf/Rabbit R32 stable-mate, and some of the styling cues from the Scirocco GT24, we could have quite the stormer on our hands. | Re: Volkswagen Scirocco R32 Teaser? I'd far rather a powerful 2.0 litre TFSI engine a la S3 than the warbly and soulful yet, ultimately, tame 3.2 VR6 engine. All in all better suited to a small coupe and less likely to hamper its reportedly very sweet handling.

| Re: Volkswagen Scirocco R32 Teaser? If there is such a car it better not get the same old 3.2L V6 from the R32, this car deserves the 3.6L V6 from the Passat. End of story. M

| Re: Volkswagen Scirocco R32 Teaser? I didn't think they'd bother with a Scirocco R32 since they're making a Scirocco 2.0 TSI. 2.0L Turbo & S/C 4-cyl, 179kW (240hp/243ps). What I think will happen is... Scirocco 2.0 TSI -> Scirocco R36 (295hp 258ftlb 3.6 V6). |
