I'm suprised he feels that the car S65 doesn't have enough storage compartments. When I sat in an S550 a few months ago I found out the opposite. The car is like a Renault Megan. Lots of compartments absolutley everywhere for storing a spliff, chewing gum, registration papers, comdons, a dead bever or what ever. | | | | | Devotee

You seem to be fasinated by this one guys` opinions of the S65.. j/k.. No car is perfect and the people who drive them arn`t perfect either. So in creating a car with so many technical features makes it even harder for the engineers to "perfect" the operations to please everyone, lets be reasonable here. There isn`t a hi-tech (hi-performance) car out there that even pleases 75% of the "fans" who drive them, not one.
It would seem that the engineers at MB could have made some of these features a little easier and more logical for every day use. Like the radio presets. I can imagine some other German luxury cars are even worse to live with on an everyday basis with these "ilogocal" functions. | | | | | Me for President

Besides, not many can afford a S65 so instead of reading reviews all the time, let hear it from owners for a change. I hope you agree. | | | | | Expert

It is always those little things which can make or break a car for you.
Very true. additionally the owner seem to be just like me, in order words knows what he wants and is really particular about what he buys. I'm a geek and buy gadget frequently and although I usually buy the best products. Despite that I still have all ways have atleast 3 things to bitch about with every gadget I buy. Give me any new high tech car like the 7er, s-class or A8 and within 20 minutes I will probably be able to find things to moan and complain about. | | | | | Advocate

Here's an idea. Why don't you get some threads from m5board.com about owners think about the multiple breakdowns from the SMGIII transmissions. I think there are many examples to choose from when I last looked. I don't think we've had a thread here on GCZ so that we can have a discussion.
Just joking, Just_me, I just couldn't resist...... | | | | | Me for President

I was expecting it when I saw you were replying but believe it or not , it has been posted before so ha ha ha to you. We even had a M5 owner and he posted about his problems here.
Seriosly though people taking it the wrong way with this thread,(especially the MB boys). So for now on I wont post anymore reviews from owners point of view since Im getting "kicks" for it. It weird really since this thread wasnt about car failures. | | | | | Advocate

No, no, no....don't take it that way. I think that S65 owner was quite neutral when he posted his review on mbworld. No car is perfect and there will always be somethiing "wrong" with any car.
Owners' viewpoints ARE very valuable, so I wouldn't discourage you from posting interesting ones you find. | | | | | Me for President

I rarely post threads coming from owners but when you read about a car that many people will never afford to buy or even testdrive, a car you will only read about in carmags then I like to post it. S65 is one of those cars. If it was a 330i or a CLK350 I would never post it.
BTW its time for me to go to sleep. See you guys tomorrow... | | | | | Enthusiast
