Thanks for the pics. Some notes:
* *** is up with those wheels. Sure its the base model...buts it's a flipping S-class. Why would they put those wheels on.
* That interior looks sublime. That seat is just screaming...sit in me!!!

What a short review though. But at least they sum it up well, "The new S-Class moves the benchmark up again; there's no better luxury car for the money."

Wonder what CAR magazine will have to say.

P.s. Does anyone know if the laminated glass is standard across the range?

I can't wait until that issue hits my mailbox. Should be about 10 days away. They called the car ugly initially, we'll see what they say after driving it.

Thanks again for the review Merc1. But why are they all so shoooort. We need in depth reviews and comparisons. So many things not even mentioned (i.e. New Audio System etc. etc.)

P.S guys check out the new LS460 UNCOVERED in the Japanese Car section.

Yeah I know these internet reviews are short, but thats all we can until the mainstream press gets the cars for testing. The S should make the rounds in most of the major publications next month.

I saw that pic of the LS460 on Edmunds, I don't think that is the car, but we'll see. That is a photoshop, not a actual pic of a real car out in the open or at some type of design center.

worst interior combination ever .. i hate it .. even same colors from the previous model and i hate that also .. simply colors are not matching each other ..

HMMMM- I still don't like that stupid clock. Actually if I was going to be very critical I would say that the whole dashboard is quite unattractive. However, I still think the overall impression of the car is very good.

Rnds: I liked the Idea of the clock .. but wished if it was a little more expensive .. like some famous brand .. chopard .. Bvlgari .. cartier ... Rolex anything ..

Ooo that would have been a classy touch. I agree MJaaFy, those colours do the interior no favours. In other combinations, it looks superb.
