As for Sacco - he is undoubtedly brilliant, but he didn't always get it right - remember the A class. I still think his predecessor, the Frenchman Paul Bracq, is a greater car designer - he is a man of truly distinguished taste. |

  | Re: New S Class W221 Pics and Info I fail to see your point about "nasty" when it comes to the gathered leather in the door panels. Ferthermore Sacco retired in 2001 so I don`t believe he designed the A-Class.

My question is, is it leather in this picture above? Some S classes have a horizontal stitching that makes me think at least that it is leather on the door, but in this picture there is no horizontal stitching, so is it leather or an MB Tex like material? If MB-Tex then we definetly know there is some cost cutting. But how do we find out? In this picture there is the horizontal stitching.
