True - and I didn't like it then either, the door panels of the W140 are just nasty.

As for Sacco - he is undoubtedly brilliant, but he didn't always get it right - remember the A class.

I still think his predecessor, the Frenchman Paul Bracq, is a greater car designer - he is a man of truly distinguished taste.

I fail to see your point about "nasty" when it comes to the gathered leather in the door panels. Ferthermore Sacco retired in 2001 so I don`t believe he designed the A-Class.

LOL, I'm sorry you don't believe it GTA.5 but the A class was launched in 1997 - it was Sacco who designed it.

Anyway, it's just my opinion, but I just never liked the gathered leather.

Well roberto i dont like that furniture..haha its ugly.. it has nothing to do with the zonda interior..

My question is, is it leather in this picture above? Some S classes have a horizontal stitching that makes me think at least that it is leather on the door, but in this picture there is no horizontal stitching, so is it leather or an MB Tex like material? If MB-Tex then we definetly know there is some cost cutting.

But how do we find out?

I acutally liked the ww220 eventhough the top notch quality feel was lacking but still my favorite MB layout is the one in the CLS. I simply like the design and where and how the buttons are placed. The ww221 interior on the other hand is great but BM would have made it look better. The doors on the other hand look superb.
