Like most of you, I think the AMG package is a must for the new S-Class. I don’t know why hasn’t MB done this, but they need to ASAP.
Also, what’s up with not putting exposed exhausts on like the new M and R? I know some of you might say it’s a luxury sedan, but still, look at the S500 with AMG package, the S600 and the AMG models. They all look very sporty and attractive with the exhausts exposed. And the front and the rear look plain without those AMG bumpers.

My favorite color so far has to be that red S500 with the AMG package. I think we will see a lot of S’s in that color…. What’s it called?

Wow, great pictures Vivaki, I think this direct comparison with the W126 shows very clearly how far Mercedes-Benz have changed from their traditional, strictly - form-follows-function approach of the past - also, as much as I do like the new S class, the design just doesn't seem as thoroughly resolved as in the old W126 - the rear styling is a wee bit messy and awkward IMO.

There are some awesome pictures in this tread, all I can say is this car looks much better in the pictures than in the flese, IMO!
