Those speed numbers are really awesome when you think about it! for Diesels?!! my God.. I remember the speed figures for the 1995 V12 powered S600, 6.5sec from 0-60mph and that car had like 394hp. Now we have V8 diesels that can keep up with your grand pa s` 1995 S600. Diesels have really come a long way!  |

Yep, diesels are sharp!  Eg. Audi Q7 6.0L V12 TDI with 500HP / 1000Nm, 0-100km/h in 5.5sec, v max = 250km/h (limited)! Now imagine this engine in A8. Or ... MB E420 CDI 4.0L V8 with 314HP / 730Nm, 0-100km/h in 6.1sec, v max = 250km/h max (limited)! Or ... BMW 535d 3.0L I6 variable-twin-turbo with 272HP / 760Nm (soon 286HP, 780Nm), 0-100km/h in 6.5sec, v max = 250km/h (limited!) Or ... BMW 335d 3.0L I6 VTT with 286HP / 780Nm, 0-100 km/h in 6.2sec (coupe in 6.1sec), v max = 250km/h limited. Or ... etc |

Diesels really have come a long way. That's the reason my dad is thinking of getting a diesel as our next family car. We're generally happy with the E320's gas mileage, but an E280 CDI or E320 CDI will just kill the E320 in terms of fuel eocnomy - and performance too, especially the E320 CDI. The car will have to be used though, since a new car depreciates so heavily in its first year. |

The E-Class V6-Diesel's are really great! Our E-Class Diesel (which is driven 80% on Autobahn) has an average consumption of 9.5 Litre / 100 km! |

E 280 CDI (140kw) with 6 speed manual and Sportpackage! It is a pleasure to drive. The engine is extremely smooth and quiet. You know that, because you also drove one!  In my opinion the E 270 CDI only had 5 Cylinders? |
