The tail-pipes and the fender badge, thats about it.

And Bum-man if the S63 is coming to the US it should be in LWB form like the others S-Class cars here.

The only reason I ask is I would have thought that Mercedes would have had the press releases using a W221 in LWB since it is the 'creme de la creme,' but then I remembered (if I'm not mistaken) the Audi S8 only available in SWB form so maybe Merc is aiming at a different market with the S63?

P.S. That battery really needs to be put in the trunk.

I guess we will have to wait for the face-lift to get the Bi-Turbo version. That won`t be for the next 3-years or so.

If I wanted a large super saloon I would go M5, not S63. The AMG version seems a bit redundant and out of character for the S-class, an S600 makes far more sense.

Interesting thought, but I doubt MB will change the LWB coming here to the US, it`s very popular and is considered to be a status symbol. And I agree with you about the battery being in the trunk.

People buying an M5 do so for completely different reasons. I`m sure you know this. Anyone buying an S63 or S65 is well up in the bread and butter and want something thats screams thay are more successful "than you"

These are flashing status symbols with a lot of class that no mid-sized hi-powered sedan can compare with. Thay are the next in line with the Bently Arnage so to speak. No M5, E63 or RS6 can ever possess that claim.

Re: Mercedes S63 Revealed

Deutsch...Nuvo is right. Even though M5 is a great car, besides handling it doesn't anything else on the S63/65 AMG cars. There is a difference in why the M5 is under 100k and these AMG cars a LOT more. Personally...there is no car that can compete with the AMG S-Klasse...they are in a leage of their own. About redundancy...there isn't really a NEED for an M5 either

There have been performance versions of the S-class ever since the 60's..

Re: Mercedes S63 Revealed

who cares about the M5.. just fo get about it..

now this car is the shit.. its hot its fast..its luxurious..
but there isnt much you can get excited about..cause the S65 looks almost identicall.. and we have been plenty excited over that car

PS
Other than that i must say..its killer..the wheels i dont like though..the exhausts on the 63 looks alot better than the 65..

ohh and MB came through like they always do on car shows.. CL63, S63 and SLR722 what more can you ask for..
