The S400 – The car is pretty much historical because it’s the first Mercedes-Benz gasoline/hybrid as well as the first Hybrid model to use a Lithium battery. Secondly the car produces outstanding MPG for a car of its size. The S550 – It just the traditional one it the bunch, but makes it so interesting is the use of 4Matic. I have seen so many Benz in my area sliding all over the highway in snow storms, which really makes the system so work while. Not to mention it’s a bargain compared to the other high price models. The S63 AMG – Nothing like a strong V8 with AMG power. The S600 V12 – It has always represented what a flagship should be and the V12 is so smooth and world class. The V12 badge alone will get you by without any need for a sport package or AMG wheels. The S65 AMG – It has snatched the crown from the S600 as the TOP OF THE LINE Mercedes-Benz flagship model. The 600hp plus engine leaves people speechless. Even with all the weight the 0-60 times leaves sport cars out of breath. The interior is enough to rival the Rolls-Royce and Bentley. That added sport package makes it look almost “glorious”. Everything about this car is flawless…the only thing I question is the “special” grill, but with the power and magnificent authority of its present… My Choice - ![]()

The S600 remains the absolute king: perfect mixture of class, elegance, majestic discretion, luxury and power. It is, for me, still the supreme S-Class. The AMG is too raw, too flashy, too much. Outstanding car, but not the epitome of the S-Class as it doesn't really represent the values of it. I would take the words of a Land-Rover big head (was talking about the RR vs RR Sport): the AMG is an S-Class, but with a backward cap...

By the way, off topic .. I just picked up this lovely S600 with the Sports Package for my brother. LOL I'll have it for a month before delivery I've been driving it all week and my neighbors think I'm nutts!My brother will now own 2 S600s LOL ... all he needs is the W221 facelift to complete the trifecta. He want the 57s though. ![]()
