The S600 remains the absolute king: perfect mixture of class, elegance, majestic discretion, luxury and power. It is, for me, still the supreme S-Class.
The AMG is too raw, too flashy, too much. Outstanding car, but not the epitome of the S-Class as it doesn't really represent the values of it.

I can understand that, but the thing is the S65 AMG is more exclusive, powerful and much more exciting to drive then the S600. On the other hand the S600 is an outstanding car and it is elegant without the sport package, but it really doesn't "beat" the S65 for the flagship title IMO.
Aren't there a few more options "interior" wise for the S65 over the S600?

Yes, that is true. A Black or Silver S550 with sport package and 4MATIC would be the perfect choice.
Only thing is I just would love having the top of the line. See now a 750 owner can probably pass a S550 with no problem (hp wise), but an S65 AMG has no "direct competitor"...except maybe the Bentley Flying Spur and RR Ghost....
Then I remembered how graceful the S600 looks in pictures and how Rolls-Royce-ish the S65 AMG's interior is. In the end, my decision would be the S600- its an over-the-top, extremely fast, and incredibly beautiful Benz. The S-Class is Mercedes-Benz at their best, so it doesn't really matter which one you choose-they're all perfect.
