I agree. Since there are solutions that are much more discrete - eg. LED powered light emmitors instead of directly exposed LEDs - which indeed looks like a Christmas tree decorations.

I prefer more discrete & homogeneous lighting emittors. A group of separate LEDs doesn't scraem advanced tech at all. Actually - it's quite primitive. And I hate the exposed LEDs on BMW & RR cars as well.

Yet the tech like CELIS LED tubes (or similar tech) is much more advanced & discrete. Not to mention better looking.

That's very subjective. Angles eyes are far from discrete and are highly visible at night and are bright yellow. Not everyone's cup of tea. I personally don't mind them and neither do I mind what Audi and MB have chosen to do.

544hp seems like a lot... it`s going to burn a lot of gas to. The 750iL is not that efficient. In some cases it`s gas milage is worse than the S550.
As far as technology goes we will have to wait to see what BMW comes up with. There were a number of features (one of them the 8-speed automatic) that didn`t make it to the 7er.

I can`t wait to see the 760.
It`s good BMW kept the V12 alive & kicking.

I almost feel bad for me dad now. He just bought a pre-facelift S350 ( a few weeks ago !)
Key word being almost, since you can't really feel bad for someone who drives an S class

I'm not sure what that is....but it looks like ivory, LOL.

It's probably plastic or aluminum.

This is the same with the rear armrest. Plus, the wood is funky shaped, with a raised part for the command controls. Surely, a cost cutting measure or design simplification, but a design detail that was distinctive, furniture-like, and really nice. Money no object, I would have made it all one piece of wood, from front to back

Face-lifted:
I noticed it and I like the FL more now. The wood holding the COMAND controller and the buttons around it looks "melted" into the center console. Clever I think

WE need a picture of SPLITVIEW in action please

That combo with the ivory on dark leather looks amazing! and i love this minor facelift, it's a hard choice between the F01/F02 and this.

It's quite easy choice for me, the S. For me personally, the 7 was getting up there with the pre-fl S, but this FL has changed it back to S-class dominance.
