It actually looks quite good in that picture I think.

I'm really having a hard time deciding precisely how I feel about the looks of this car, sometimes I think it looks sleek....and yet, other times it just appears completely characterless to me.

It's unfortunate that so many new cars out today should polarize you instead of delight you.

That effect is just what might make this car a huge hit. On the MB boards like MB.org they're going nuts talking about prices/selection and getting one. We'll see what the Feb sales looks like in the U.S.

Ha - I used to visit that board regularly - I'm a member there - it's jam-packed with undiscerning fanboys - put a Three-Pointed-Star on it...and they're sure to loose complete control of their bodily functions.

Well thats true, but it is a MB board for fanboys so they're in the right place. Not all of them like everything Mercedes though. There is a group on there that won't drive anything but W124 and W140 cars because they find newer Mercedes to be lacking. The arguments between them and all of the newer Mercedes buyers/fans are quite interesting and heated at times.

Something is very wrong with me. I saw the same black car again today, with the dark beige interior...and it was looking absolutley gorgeous. Will I despise it the next time I see it again? Whats wrong with me...maybe I have some sort of multiple personality disorder.
