^^
That explains why the interior looks a little old to me. Which parts are from the Maybach?

The wooden panels on the upright console between the seats, fold-out picnic tables and some of the buttons from what I see right off.

Re: Mercedes-Benz S 600 Pullman Guard

That's right Marcus. The entire center console is straight out of the Maybach -- they didn't even bother replacing the switches with the "proper" S class ones -- the whole thing looks very patched together on a tight budget to me.

For the central extension, they have obviously just reversed slightly-modified S class interior door panels -- which, because of their curvaceous shape, do not match up well when placed end to end. Considering the cost of this vehicle, surely some custom interior panels could have been devised.

I am I being too picky?

I didn't even notice that (the door panels). It looks terrible

You're not being picky at all

No not all, they should have done a more unique interior IMO also. Oh well. I gather they have a lot of these items on order or sitting around since Maybach has never sold up to expectations so they might as well use them.

Re: Mercedes-Benz S 600 Pullman Guard

I'm sure it would look 10X better in real life.

I must tell you though, for me personally, by far the worst part of the interior is this:

Almost unforgivable

What's this? Is the door open or something?

Re: Mercedes-Benz S 600 Pullman Guard

It seems they have tried to do the whole interior with slightly-modified standard S class parts. The interior door-pulls are different from standard S class -- I guess the doors are slightly thicker than normal ones. Klier, I think that bit you pointed out is where they have tried to disguise the way the standard panel doesn't really fit properly.

The problem really stems from the contours of the S class interior door panels.

I wonder, does anyone have pictures of a normal S class Pullman interior (not the guard version).

Re: Mercedes-Benz S 600 Pullman Guard

Very underwhelming fit considering that the AMG studio usually does a fantastic job with coach built models, but I guess they didn't commission this car for Mercedes.

This is the pinnacle of what the AMG studio can get done for you:
