Mercedes loose!

Vergleichstest: S 500, LS 460, 750i: Auf höchster Schwebene - auto motor und sport

How can that be? I remember that Auto Motor und Sport already tested BMW and Mercedes, and S class won. How can exactly same cars now change? And how can they now prefer facelifted Toyota to Mercedes??

If AMuS already choose the S-Class over the 7er, then yes I agree, that's a little strange.

Honestly though, the S-Class has already won tons of comparsions - so it's not like it's going to lose credibility.

Call the LS a Toyota all you want, but a "face lifted" Toyota? Sorry don't see it.

LS is not a facelifted Toyota no doubt.

Anyone see the new LS600h commercial? Gave me a new found respect for the car, damn that Lexus guy who talks during the commercial!
The new LS is definitely a contender this generation all it really needs now is a few more engine options like a good diesel. The Merc is still the best though IMO.

Re: AMuS compares S 500, LS 460, 750i, and guess what??

Ok, i'd like to correct myself, i wasn't able to find any other S vs. 7 test on AMuS site but this, where S class (S350 here) looses again.

Vergleichstest: Vergleichstest Audi A8, BMW 730i und Mercedes S 3 - auto motor und sport

May be i confused it with other magazine, or it was v12 versions?.. I was absolutely sure that i read it in AMuS...

It seems like AMuS mostly prefers BMW for some reason.

Re: AMuS compares S 500, LS 460, 750i, and guess what??

I remember AMuS once compared the S350 vs 730i vs A8 3.2 V6 and they preferred the S instead of the other two.

I think it was AMuS...I could be wrong, though. I remember there was even a video on the Youtube.

Aren't they all based on their japanese equivalents?

E.g.
Lexus SC = Toyota Soarer
Lexus IS = Toyota Altezza
Lexus RX = Toyota Harrier
Lexus GS = Toyota Aristo

Not sure what current LS is based on though...

Looks to me like the S won that comparison, it scored the most points...

Actually, come to look at it, the S-class wins the first test also. Perhaps the cars are just ordered by which was tested first?

Yeah, looks like you're right. Imo that is really weird way of putting them in such confusing order.
