The Forgotten Flagship: The Mercedes 300SE (W112)

This a review of the 1960s Mercedes S-Class, the Fintail 300SE. It was also available as a long version (300SE lang). 5,202 300SE's and 1,546 300SE lang's were made from 1961 to 1965 making it truly a rare car these days. Enjoy!

Thanks Chris

I particularly like the Coupé and convertible models of the W112.

What a great old car, I used to think these models were quite strange-looking, but I have come to really appreciate them. It is an informative article.

Still, my very favourite Benz from that era is of course (as you know Christian ) the W100, I wonder, do you have any articles about the W100 Chris?

I love the W111 and W112 coupés. GORGEOUS. One of Paul Bracq's most timeless and elegant designs.

I have a Mercedes Enthusiast with a big report on the W100 as well as Karl Middelhauve, the M100 engine and W100 expert. Will scan them ASAP.
