Well, you guys at Benz fan HQ sit and watch how that kind of job is properly done. Maybe with your next sporty limo you won't be so ashamed if you learn from the best...

I think that engine is waaay too sporty for any Rolls. I am thinking about a new V12 for the Rolls. The same new V12 that will be fitted in the F01 7er.

Or of course the new 4.4 V8 bi-turbo. That would work very well inside the Rolls too I think.
Well according to this article it will be a totally new engine. Scott said it will be an "advanced turbo V10"

I am curious about that ....but even more curious are the rumours that the Bentley Arnage's successor is getting the Veyron's W16!!

According to my sources RR V10 engine is a just a smaller version of the V12 BMW are developing for the 7er & Gran Turismo.

Nothing to do with the S85 V10 engine of M5 / M6 ...

S engines are way too specific to be featured in regular cars ... and especially not cars like RR.

PS: have you noticed the words of Mr. Robertson "brand-new engine for this model series"!!!??? Just like Scott said: expect coupe & cabriolet variants as well. 4dr coupe variant also possible. And perhaps even a 4dr cabriolet.

Nah, not the M5/M6 V10. A new V10 more suitable for RR.

Edit: Didn't see Eni's post.

Yes.
They are adding a second production line in 2008. A second shift will be also introduced - in 2009. Sevral hundreds of new workers will be employed at Goodwood.

But they set the production limit at 3000 units per year. So the brand will stay highly exclusive. 1/3 Phantoms, 2/3 Seraphs in the ong run when the model families are complete. While in the short run it will be 1 : 1 ratio (whole Phntom family vs Seraph limo).
