Maybach should do something fast.
When RR Silver Ghost is launched, and Bentley introduce the new Arnage, Maybach is dead. Mind Aston Martin is also joining the party with super-pricey Rapide.
The future of Maybach is coach-building. Like eg. Pininfarina, or Fisker - but in Maybach case with much more brand appeal. Super-exclusive & ultra-expansive individual vehicles.
MB should rather launch S600 Pullman, and ODC-based 4dr cabrio. With high-end models like CL (AMG), SLR, SLC, IMO that should be OK.
Since MB brand desperately needs a strong push further upstairs. Since other brands are rapidely closing the gap. Pullman (or another MB-branded limo beyond S-class) + ODC-like vehicle + SLC is just enough for a while.
Really ... let Maybach be a coach-building car manufacturer. With MB body-donors some very interesting cars may be produced. And MB better do that fast - before VW do that with Bugatti. 2 quite known coach-builders are too much. But this segment will be super-exclusive: individually built cars, and known brand.
