Actually, I think you're quite wrong. Iron-Man in no way or shape is a B-rate comic book hero. He's not as big as Superman or Batman but I think you can ask almost any kid and he'll know who iron man is, especially someone who actually reads comics.

Not to mention John Favoreu (spelling?) is sticking very close to the comic book and Jr., is a terrific actor and way better than most Mainstream actors. Not to mention he fits the role of Stark perfectly. Both rich and both have alcohol issues.

I'm actually very excited for this movie. Can't Wait. BTW...Stark and R8 make sense, the other cars don't.

I consider it B-rate... Avengers aren't as popular as they used be, and Iron Man even less. Since they weren't that popular (at least when I read comics), Marvel never put much effort into the issues. To give you an idea, from the 4600+ comics I have, you won't see any Avengers issue unless it was a crossover, let alone an Iron Man title which was canned by the mid-90s.... but I suppose they revived it since and I suppse that's just me and my taste (I never was an Avengers fans).

I agree that the R8 is a fit for the character... high-tech and modern goes well with the Stark/IM persona. My worry is that the movie will flop and Audi will have wasted their moeny. I sincerely hope I am proven wrong.

Even if the movie flops I don't see how it can affect Audi's reputation. Long as people leave the theater wonder what kind of car that was Audi's done there job!

Never said it would damage Audi's reputation... please don't put words in my mouth.

I only said if it flops that it might be a bad move financially, since people won't go see it.
