Not sure if that's a huge improvement, looks better, but the current design IMO is rubbish at the front so it's not too hard for this to be better!
I'd be surprised if the car got a F/L, seeing as it's still a very new car, but if the reason that the sales are so low, then that may be what it needs.
btw: sales wise, what were merc expecting in sales numbers, as it started initially aroun 1800-2200 mark, and is now aroun 1100-1400 Mark, which does not sound too bad (Note: its outselling the cls monthly by quite a margin)
Does it look better than the current frog-eyed model? Yes it does. But I'm sorry: I still don't like it. It still would be an R-Class in the end. Is that a bad thing? In my opinion yes. Some ultra-sensitive Americans may feel offended...
The R-Class is just way too Chrysler to be a Mercedes-Benz. It was styled by an American and designed with American families in mind. It's big, heavy and it looks just like any average American MPV, and for these reasons alone you have to hate it.
It's quite possibly the most unnecessary addition to the Mercedes-Benz range since the V-Class and Vaneo. Just look the R-Class sales numbers you will see what I'm on about. Heck! Even the monstrous GL-Class is selling better.
