BTW Audiholic, I don't understand how you can hate BMW, I don't hate any car brands, hate is a very strong word! I think that MB is probably my least favourite brand of the big three brands in Germany, but that doesn't mean I hate, some of the cars are awesome!

That was my only comment there in like 5 months. And I commented that one, cause it was on the "last posts" on the mainpage.

It was made for the americans in mind. Average person in teh UK hates SUV drivers.

In all truth and honesty, and not to step on any toes; the vast majority of SUV drivers are the worst of their kind and have no place behind the wheel of a car that can't even begin manage in the first place. I see women driving SUV's most of the time, and the majority look as if they can barely see over the steering wheel. Again I will state that I have NO clue as to what aversion Americans have to wagons, it's truly rediculous and makes me sick. Honestly.

I couldn't agree with you more Deutsch. While holidaying in USA, it really got on my nerves seeing women driving SUV's, and as you said, barely being able to see over the steering wheel...and also, seeing young school buys trying to act hard in their daddy's SUV. Like they're trying to make up for some defeciency.
What really peeves me off is people driving cars they don't deserve to drive. I see countless number of 50-something year old women driving around in 330i's..and they drive so damn slow and carefully... ughhh... complete unjustice. BMW cars are meant to be driven...!!

But, I guess its an ego thing... so I feel sorry for those people who are shallow enough to think a brand makes a person. Whatever floats their boat I guess.

Badge snobbery will be a long lived trend I'm afraid. Something we really shouldn't care to give our attention to, even if it's so prevalent.

As for the Q7, I really like it, but two things kind of make this a passing fancy for me; 1. I know the next X5 will be a better driver, and possibly even more attractive. 2. I really can't see the logic in purchasing such a vehicle of this size that in truth does more harm than good. An A6 avant makes more sense at an lower price and better looks, not to mention better all around efficency.
