Q7 4.2TDI coming to America?

Does anyone know if after the release of the 3.0 TDI if they will bring the 4.2 TDI thereafter?

Why doesn't Audi put the V6 supercharged from the 2010 S4 in the Q7? Wouldn't this be a good match guys?

Everything instead of a diesel is the wrong engine for the Q7 in my opinion. I really hope, that Audi will bring the 4.2 TDI and maybe even the 6.0 TDI to the USA. It should be an absolutely great market for such powered diesel cars and I hope Audi will have more success then Mercedes with his Bluetec cars.

Sad to say folks, but Audi just isn't going to do a V8 diesel in the U.S. Sales of the V6 version would have to really, really take off for them to do that. Diesels still face a uphill battle even with diesel prices coming down.

Re: Q7 4.2TDI coming to America

But I think the 3.0 TDI yes it has great torque and torque is what is needed to move the rig bu the horsepower is low hence not making it being able to keep up wit hthe competition. Yes the S-line package will make it look almost better than the rest but they need something a little quicker.... What can be done to make the 3.0 quicker or even the 4.2 FSI?

What do you guys think?
