| Re: German Car Aficionado's Wet Dream What he said was bullseye. For everday, the SLR is king but for a weekend getaway car the CGT is king. But honestly, if you have enough money to buy even 1 of these cars...you're wealthy enough to afford both of them.

| Re: German Car Aficionado's Wet Dream What impressed me the most was the performance of the SLR McLaren relative to the Carrera GT on their Top Gear benchmark track. Even though the SLR is better suited to everday driving and its character softened to allow average drivers to go frightening fast, it can keep up with the more dedicated Carrera GT even when the road is not straight. This, IMO, is the engineering triumph of the SLR (and most Mercedes AMG models). It can go like stink with the best of them, but it can also take you and your passenger to dinner with luxury, style, and comfort.
