Thanks to Mike Petersen, team principal of Petersen Motorsports/White Lightning Racing and owner of both of these amazing cars, we get to see just how Porsche's fastest production car stacks up against its fastest 911 race car. This isn't a head-to-head comparison per se, but more an entertaining "what if" exercise highlighting the differences and similarities of these two hyper-Porsches.

I didn't know GT3 RSR is that fast. That's amazing...

btw, the guy has taste, color on CGT is the right one!

M3 GTR does Nordschleife in 7.00 min, thats 32 sec faster than CGT. Racecars are on a different level

I wonder how much FASTER the GT3 RSR is than the M3 GTR......I mean its gota be faster

Not nessecary. Dont forget M3 GTR was beating Porsche after Porsche in ALMS (american lemans). BMW were very succesful more so than Porsche before BMW gave up competing in ALMS. So dont be so sure

Well BMW retired because Porsche were just pissed off cause they were losing and made all this fuss that BMW wasn't playing by the rules.
Quite hypocritical of Porsche considering their history.

was the CGT on race tyre or road tyres, cause that can make a noticable difference on the lap times.

probably on roadtires but it doesnt matter even with R-tires CGT would be slower.

Agreed, and i too thought the GT3 was going to come out a winner... Its a pure track car....
