110 million rand? My currency converter says that is 14.35 million US dollars. Real estate and building costs must be very inexpensive there, because a small house here is over 1 million dollars, and even a small basic industrial warehouse building sells for many millions- my friends run down building of 2100 square feet built 35 years ago and never renovated (no air con, etc) sold for 2.1 million dollars. Maybe my currency converter is wrong?

At the moment a currency conversation to the US dollar doesn't paint a realistic picture of the US dollar has dropped severely against all currencies on the planet.

That also caused alot of problems as well....Africa was sucked dry as a result...South Africa is 1 of the Few African Countries that came off verry well....

It depends on from which angle angle you look at it. SA still stuffer from colonialism, the majority of businesses are owned by 2nd and third generation white South Africans. Apartheid left huge traces behind which has left SA severely racially segregated.

Thats true Centurion,But South Africa has come a verrry long way and has made alot of improvements over a short period of time..Racism is almost completely Removed from major cities, and might need a few mor years and lotsa education 2 remove it completely..At the moment South Africans are worried and battling a history of crime,but it will take a coulpe more years but like evry problem it will b sorted out, But like evrery other country,problems do show there ugly head and the economy is also a worry with high inflation and food prices,petrol.gas prices etc etc, Racism is no more a major Thorn...

I know from the outsideworld, South africa might look like another African Country shrouded with the Worste imaginable, but from a south african Point of view i can tell you i would live in no other country,you have 2 visit South Africa 2 see its beauty, its Rainbow Nation and its friendly People

During my last economics class I learnt that 43% of all FDI (foreign direct investment) in the continent of Africa, goes to South Africa. SA is without doubt one of the most steady and growing economies in the whole of Africa.

Umm have you read about whats happening there at the moment? Foreigners, including those from other African countries, are being burnt to death, bashed to dead and strangled to death. Is this not being reported over there or is it being grossly exaggerated over here? My family and friends over there have said the situation is getting out of control.

My parents are over there at the moment and I really hope it's not as bad as is being reported here.

Yea, it started a week over here, and its getting a bit bad...But its only happening at the rural areas (townsips and refuge areas), and hasnt spread to any of the cities..hopefully it gets sorted out and doesnt spread...when u in the cities, u dont see it, its in the poorest areas where people have nothing..Dnt worry your parents should be fine, last i heard the police and the army have it under control, the foreigners that a re being targted are the ones that are staying in shacks widout jobs and are being accused of bringin crime in 2 the country,mainly Zimbabweans, Mozambicans and Ngerians , somalians..etc... but the way its being broadcasted is makin a bigg dent on South Africas Reputation...

I work one-and-a-half blocks away from this Porsche dealer. I drive past twice a day... It's awesome. And, they've got every conceivable Porsche model on the showroom floor.
