Talk about downsizing. Is this is car for the European market or for countries like Brazil and SA where cars of this size are and have always been in high demand?

Definitely not for Europe... there's no such market at the moment.

It might work in South America.

Sales of sedans are declining all the time in European markets, probably this one will be sold in South America and North Africa...

There's been a market for this type of car in some Eastern/Southern European countries, so I wouldn't rule out a EU version, though it's unlikely that it would be sold in those markets which prefer hatchbacks.

The last gen Polo sedan was on sale here in Europe I believe...I occasionally see one driving around here...The new sedan should be on sale here too. It's looking pretty good in the camo.
