I would definitely buy a Polo, they are great little cars. Would go for the Bluemotion one.

Yes, i know it looks dated, but somehow i really like it's style. Personal taste. I have checked both the Fabia and Corsa but they are too big for me... Thanks for the tip!

Or, like suggested by others: Opel Crosa, or Skoda Fabia.
I'm thinking of the 207, but it is too big and i don't think i will get any other car from France. I had enough.

I really can get many good deals for the Polo since 95% i will pay in cash. Basically i am planning on keeping it many years so i don't really care if it's dated or if it will be replaced soon. It just has to be worth the money and last as much as possible. Just like the Clio did...

Corsa , Clio and Peugeot 207 are nearly 1,200 kgr each!!! At least Polo is smaller and lighter (1,075 kgr) so the 1.4 lt engine is enough. The others need a 1.6 lt engine.
That's the point. I want something small for hard use. Those are the key words. What i am looking for is good built quality and for a car that will LAST. A Polo with 80hp is enough to satisfy my needs.

lol, i couldn't have said it better.. Workhorse.. Well, that's exactly what i am looking for. A car for really hard use. If i had the money i would go for a MINI and a van, but i have to get both in one car. Polo suits my needs better.

The power is ok and it is comfortable enough.. I don't want a sport mini-car. I don't drive like Hamilton downtown..

Thanks for the input guys!

There is 1.4 with 75hp and 1.4 with 80hp. Then there is 1.4 with 100hp. It must be the same engine with 6valves in the first two, and 12valves in the 100hp form. But between the 75 and 80hp versions i have no idea.

lol... Indeed the new Corsa has the looks of a "playfull" car. It would suit my fiance, but not me...
About the Ibizas, yes, everyone and his mother has one, plus i'm not sold on its design. On the other hand, it is quite fun to drive, not so much comfort oriented...

Since i need my car mainly for my work, i has to have a relaxed drive. Believe me, sometimes i spend a whole day in the car and i prefer the isolated feel of my Volvo rather that the playfull character of my Clio...

I see you guys get different engines to us in the UK!

In the uk the polo comes in 55hp and 65 hp 1.2 and a 75hp 1.4. Us Ibiza boys get a 85hp 16V 1.4, 100hp 16v 1.4 and a 70hp 1.2.

Forget the Clio, Corsa, Fabia, Fiesta, Grande Punto, Ibiza, Mini Cooper, Polo, 207, Yaris. Forget all of them.

Get yourself one of these:

Great little car.

I don't care much about the Polo, however I do care that the A1 shares the same hardware. So this is indeed on some level, an important car.

I agree and I care even more so due to the fact that audi supposedly worked with seat on the new platform. Also the seat boss said he wanted the next ibiza to be a modern delta integrale ie 4wd turbocharged hatchback!

If seat dont build it im sure audi will
