It's definately 335i...it's just too good too ignore it.

Clk is nice,but other than it's already old,it looks like a girls car...lol

Really depends what you're looking for.

Personally, I am leaning towards the CLK550 since I know that it is a mini GT cruiser with good sporting abilities and I like that in a car.

If you're more into purist driving, then the BMW is your car.

I see a lot of girls driving the BMW 3-Series around here.

There are only two reasons why you choose CLK 550 over 335i. Either you are MB lover or you dislike Bangle. There are no other reasons.

335i is as comfortable as CLK550 (some carmags have even said its more comfortable than a CLK). 335i is more fun to drive, better handling, drinks less fuel and cost less. I would also go far and say the acceleration is better than CLK, specially if you use high gears and push the gaspedal.
Also there is no SMG available for 335i, just a regular automatic (its a brand new automatic from BMW) but every carmag testing 335i is saying the automatic gearbox is just fabulous.
There is also a manuel for the purists but you live in US and americans love automatics so you should probably pick automatic gearbox.

IMO the overall package for 335i is superior to a CLK. 335i is a brand new BMW product and CLK is old and a replacement is coming. Go with the 335i, you wont be disappointed, I PROMISE YOU.

Actually 3 reasons; some would prefer a V8 over I6, regardless of it's 2 turbos...

like BMw are saying, the engine is like a V8 but weigh less and more effective. Only americans still believe V8 is a superior engine J/k

It really depends on your personal preferences. If you want a more comfortable and luxurious cruiser, the CLK550 is your choice. The car will be more quiet, and that powerful V8 will give you all the power you want for such a small car.

On the other hand, if you want a sharp handling car with more sporty and aggressive looks, the 335i wins hands down. It is indeed an awesome performance car for the money. But there is a price for that sharp handling: the car won't ride as smooth and comfortable as the more softly sprung CLK550.

Personally, if I was a young student with the means to get this type of car, I would get the 335i.
