Oh an how about the recent intelligent lighting system launched on the face lifted E for another example? Oh...and Brake Assist Plus...I wonder how far along Audi's answer to these techs are?

Listen, this isn't about starting a flame war, but to say MB has contributed nothing noteworthy in recent times is either pure ignorance or 'Fanboy' bias.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Lexus system is based on heat sensitive technology, whereas the S-class system is based on infra red light, the first of its kind in a car.

This is not been the first time Lexus has implemented a tech for the sake of oneupmanship. Their original active cruise control system, which still debuted after Mercedes 1st generation distronic, was laser based. It's only now that they've moved to the more advanced radar based system employed by Mercedes from the very beginning.

That's funny, I honestly thought the key principles were
the same! Go figure! Now I see it Mr. Mercedes, your right,
the S-Classes version of the same inresult has nothing to
do with taking what Lexus has done a step further! I bet
they didn't even know of what Lexus had done! Why would
they, it didn't have nothing to do with it anyway!

Mercedes,The ultimate innovator!

You know, all this arguing which brand is better is silly, I'd be more than happy to have any car from MB, BMW, Audi, Porsche, Lexus, Infiniti, or Acura. When it comes down to it, they're all very nice cars and it just depends on personal taste and finances.

Point perfectly taken!

But when some members are so blatantly bias and quick to put another brand down consistently, something must be said.

It's utter nonsense that MB hasn't made any noteworthy advances in recent years, and I'm sure most reasonably objective members would agree.

I asked what was brought to the table recently, I didn't
say nothing was brought! It might not seem like it but
they aren't the same.

Your right Mr. Mercedes, some of us are bias!
Did I spell that right, Mr. Mercedes?
That was a cheap shot I know!

Thanks Artist & Mr.Mercedes for making me
more knowledgeable about the strides Mercedes has
made & will continue to make!
