Explanation: I arrived in South Africa on Oct 30th 1974 (32 years ago a few days from now) and left in April 1986 for the US. So, I had almost 12 years to hear it all the time and I also learnt a bit myself in the process. I married someone from the Vrystaat 6 months after arriving in SA, so that helped.
BTW, Since I see you are from JHB I'll just mention this too: I lived in the Johannesburg area between Jan 1977 till May 1980. Worked at Power Steel in Wadeville and Genrec in Germiston, with time at the Sasol II plant while with Genrec. I was visiting in JHB in March 2004 - the place has grown like crazy

So - anyone else care to share something they dislike about the favourite car(s)?

Now that you mention it, i've thought of something about the Ford GT which i dislike. It's engine bay.. it's so sparse, characterless ..

BTW, i just remembered i have another car. It's a 1990 Renault Clio.

And, now that the years have passed it's full of negatives
1. The engine has weard out. It used to have some power and to be playfull. Now it's half working and most "horses" have died...
2. The seats are no longer comfortable. At first they were just great. Now you can feel every metal part that it's inside.
3. On the road. It used to be good. Now it will slip (tyres suck) and is not safe anymore.
4. I want to get rid of it, but noone will pay me the money i want
5. It has a Radio-casette with only two speakers and the sound is terrible. It's not only the fact that i can't drive it, i can't listen to the radio.
6. One good thing. All those 16 years it never gave up. Always worked good. Now, it slowly dies. It lasted for 16 years and it was F*CKING GREAT. I love that car. I grew up in it, i learnt to drive in it, and up until last year, it was the only car i had driven...
