Huh!? What's this obsession with horsepower? The 3.5-l V6 is a powerful engine, regardless whether it has 276-horsepower or more. After driving the CLS500, I experienced the CLS350 and the power delivery is amazing. The CLS350 came dangerously close to the CLS500 performance wise. Just because on paper, the 3.5-l V6 puts out 276-horsepower doesn't mean its slow or underpowered. Mercedes could easily have gotten more horsepower out of it but you have to consider that they have to find a balance between power, fuel economy, emissions and engine longlivity.
As for my next car, I was thinking about an A-Class. An A200 CDI 6-speed or an A170 perhaps. I'm in love with the little budget Benz.
