The best exotic to purchase

Ok, many have asked so let me clear it up...

Its going to be a highline car! Range about $120K-$175K

Im getting something by the end of July or beginning of February, not sure but im pretty sparatic and spontaneous on car purchases!

Just your thoughts, forget who's fastest. This is all about owning a real head turner. Pretty much i can say im leaning towards the 360 Spyder.

Just vote, and give me your blunt honest thoughts!!! Thanks boys!!!

Im sure most of you guys know the cars, so pics aren't neccessary, but feel free to post some if you like.

Re: The best exotic to purchase

tough to tell if I havent tried them but I would go with a Gallardo, fast as your CL55 but more of a sportcar.
Isnt the 360 Spyder showing its age now? Probably the most economical choice but like I said, isnt the car finally starting to age?

Re: The best exotic to purchase

Economically, i can get a 2005 Gallardo today, for less than a 2001 360 Spyder. Go figure! As for age, i dont know? I love the look, and still feel it looks better than most supercars. Only thing turning me away is the fact that it is older and the F430's are out... But even than the F430's are no less than low $200K. Way out of my league. Obviously this decision is my dilemma, i love the 360 Spyder, and feel its still the hottest of the bunch, but as you said, perhaps its dated? It is rough for me to draw a conclusion, as i said before to you, my friends think i should just get a Ford GT.

PS. If you feel the Gallardo is the better of the bunch vote for it... Only way i cna really see how people feel overall.

Re: The best exotic to purchase

I have never tested a Ferrari or a Lamborghini. Its hard for me to know whats the best choice. For now I can only tell you what my guts tells me.

I have one question for you. Do you think 400 hp will be enough for you?

if you say yes well then go with the Ferrari, if not, choose Gallardo. BTW those Ford, are they reliable enough for wanting to own one?

Re: The best exotic to purchase

The 360 Spider is ahot car no doubt, but now when the F430 is out the 360 is passé. With it's price decreasing you will in one or two years see lots of street punks driving around in them. Driving the 360 now is like driving around in a Z3 or the old SLK. You need to do it big dog style and get yourself a Gallardo ASAP.

Re: The best exotic to purchase

AlxAmg: congrats in advance dude, am sure if u stick to that list u won't be dissapointed ..

anyways my vote goes for the Gallardo, as Just_Me already mentioned the Ferrari 360 is the hottest of the whole bunch but I think it has dated a little bit .. but the Lambo .. is a bit the best choice .. let me list my POVs: -
1- Rear biased AWD which is just awsome .. u can drive it most time of the year.
2- Best engineered & built when compared to others on the list
3- Practical for daily use (Navi , nice sound system ... etc)
4- The best engine sound of the 3 IMO (excluding the Murci)

just my 0.02$ AlxAmg and goodluck with ur purchase .. BTW what happened to the DB9 ?

Re: The best exotic to purchase

Mjaafy AWESOME points, well as for the DB9, i love it, but i think i will go extreme with this purchase, i have a DEMO from work of whatever i want and a FX35 at home. After thinking about it, i felt i might as well go all out and get something really rare and extreme.

Just_Me... as for the power thing, well i felt it was quick when i drove it... remember the 160mph pic... that was in the 360 Modena. It would be fine. Age is the concern obviously.

Re: The best exotic to purchase

With the Gallardo, F430, Z06 and 997TT out on the roads you will look seriously uncool in a 360. Think about your image.

Again, its a option that i like. As for looking cool, i have only seen one F430 Spyder on the road and a hand full of 360's. They arent all ove th place here by me. Porsche and Z06 is out of the question for me. They are off the hook, but not the IMAGE as you put it that im looking for.

Seems like Gallardo overall, hey guys? Any reason why over the Murci?

Don't get me wrong I'm a fan of the Murc but the Gallardo seen to be better build and better engineered, and at times it looks better. I just prefer the Gallardo but the Murc ain't a bad pick either.
