Hi Folks Looks like the Tokyo Motor Show has exceeded expectations, whilst Frankfurt was a mild disappointment. Vote for which motor show you preferred / thought to be more significant and tell us why... |

To be honest i didn't pay too much attention for IAA, but what i know that many of our fellow members here and other people were a bit dissapointed with it and from the other side i see that people are praising Tokyo, so i guess Tokyo was better. No vote from me though... ![]() |

I kinda agree with you all, Frankfurt was indeed better, but for me Tokyo was the bigger surprise, particularly as I had few expectations. I did vote for the IAA simply because of the scale of the spectacle as opposed to the significance of the show's new launches. Besides the launch of the new S-Klasse I reckon the Germans had a particularly quiet event. So much more was expected for the IAA and it didn't materialise. Tokyo, by contrast, isn't always expected to deliver too many surprises but the launch of the S8, and the showing of the TT-shooting brake concept was surely better than Audi's effort at Frankfurt. Nissan's GT-R stole the show for me. So, Tokyo was more the pleasant surprise than expected. |
