Yes this is more or less the new LS so don't expect it to look anything different than this. The front looks great but I think the rear is awful.

Are those things in the bumpers the exhaust because that's really cool. I actually like the back and the front. Lexus is a million years ahead of Acura and Infinity I think.

Rolls-Royce has shown the LWB Phantom with a division wall.

This is quite an old-fashioned detail.

Quote:
Rolls-Royce Motor Cars will unveil at the Tokyo Motor Show a new division wall package, fitted to an extended wheelbase Phantom.
The new longer version of the Phantom is the latest addition to the Rolls-Royce line-up and goes on sale first in the Middle East. Deliveries to Japan will begin this December.

Development of the division wall package began in response to requests from customers who wish to have increased privacy in the rear of the car. Included with this new feature is a drop-down, central screen for viewing television and DVDs, a cool box for drinks and special reading lights. These features are manufactured and fitted by the specialist Bespoke engineering team at Goodwood, England.

The division itself is handcrafted using the finest leather and wood veneers. A transparent screen ensures that rear passengers still enjoy the great sense of space which the Phantom offers, yet cannot be easily overheard by the driver. An adjustable aperture allows communication with front seat occupants when required. Handcrafted wood veneer picnic tables and leather document holders add the finishing touches to the division itself.
Very odd - it's not retractable, I was hoping it would look a little more elegant than this - I think the Maybach's is more practical and offers more privacy for the rear occupants.

Hmm I think MB is still the benchmark. They probably thought, hey maybe if we copy somone else, instead of MB, no one will notice.

And guess what? BMW copied Volvo w/ the concave character line, so really... doesn't matter. This car looks bland and boring like most of everything else they've done, bet it drives the same too. Unfortunately I don't think Lexus really knows what a "design revolution" is. Everyone should take a page out of Volvo's book.

2005 Ferrari GG50 by Giugiaro - it's just a one-off (thank God)

I'm not "feeling it", as the Californian members of this forum say - lol

Although Giorgio Giugiaro is one of the greatest car designers, I don't think this is one of his best efforts - still some of you might love it.

Yea I agree. Thats what I was saying the concepts are very BMW like. Look at the line across the car. That buff line is directly from the 5er. The 3rd pillar is also BMW like.

The previous head designer of BMW went over to volvo after Bangle took his job...Maybe BMW is regretting that now..
