The wood in this Audi Q7 interior looks a bit strange - I really like the modern feeling of the Audi's interior.....having said that, it might be a little bit bland without the wood.

I love what Audi is doing with wood right now. I feel that, amongst the Germans, they have the most modern handle on wood selection and how to present it in the cabin.
I give BMW a big nod with their "boat panel" designs, but I feel that the selection of material leaves much to desire with the less pricey models.

The whole effect of the Phantom is genuinely elite - there is most certainly nothing bourgeois about it - the very fact that so many people thought it was "grotesque" and "ostentatious" is a clear indication of that.
Sorry Roberto, I messed up because that's what I've been trying to say. Bourgois was the wrong word I guess, hehe.

High-end luxury car wood and leather interiors don't necessarily have to look old-fashioned - I actually don't think the Phantom's interior is old fashioned at all, the overall effect might hark back to days gone by but if you look at the details, there are many beautifully designed and very modern aspects to the interior.
1967 Rolls-Royce Phantom V (James Young version) - classic Rolls-Royce style.
Rolls-Royce Phantom: Although the overall impression is classical, there are many very beautifully modern details about the Phantom's cabin.
These are wonderful interiors - there is nothing old fashioned about them really - they are beautifully made using exquisite quality materials - this is not fake luxury .....it's the real deal.

Sorry to say it but I don't think that the wood inside that car looks good, it looks really out of place and doesn't blend in with the rest of the interior. Out of the three German giants MB is probably best at incorporating wood into their interiors.
BTW I love the picture of the Phantom with lime green leather and paino trim. Do you have any more pictures of it?

I agree with you on that Lu, the wood does look a little bit out of place. The wood accents definately fit with Mercedes interior design style better than in BMW and Audi.

I can only find one other photo Lu - I'm pretty sure it's not really lime green, I think that's just the lighting - lime green sounds fun though
