As part of our recent survey, we asked Car Design News readers to vote for their favourite current production car design. The response produced some fascinating results, with the Aston Martin V8 Vantage being voted the clear favourite from over a thousand responses. While other 'Best Design' contests are largely made up of votes from journalists, the voters for this survey were mostly automotive designers and students of car design.

The top ten rankings are:

4th: Bugatti Veyron
5th: Lamborghini Gallardo
6th: BMW 5 Series
7th: Audi TT
8th: Alfa Romeo Brera

I agree with everything with the exception of the DB9 and Veyron. IMO the A6 and 997 should take their places.
Edit: and the TT...Z4 or SLK should take it's place.

other than that cool list..i can understan the choices.. but i dont like the design of all those cars..

I'm missing The A6 and the Z4. Other than that I agree with all.

I can't understand how CLS and Veyron made it to that list. Both cars are certainly not well designed IMO. Also TT looks dated to me.
It's obvious that Mercedes fans voted for CLS, BMW fans for 5 and 6 series and Audi fans for TT.

well that shows audi fans feel that the TT is the best designed audi..and thats really sad..haha

Well, it's no shock to me. The CLS is a sculpture on wheels. Awesome it got second!

I can say the same about CLS you know.

The best designed Audi on the list is Gallardo.

My list would have been quite different, the CLS would have been the only one on that list to make it.
