2010 Geneva Motor Show Will Be A Packed House

Auto shows are generally where automakers like to 'wow' their future customers and show off their new models to both industry rivals and the press. But with the recent financial crisis affecting the automotive industry so severely, several companies chose to forgo this past year’s round of events, with January’s Detroit Auto Show and this month’s Tokyo Motor show bearing most of the brunt of the economic downturn.

It looks like things are finally starting to turn around. Organisers for the 2010 Geneva Auto Show have announced today that all of the major automakers have already confirmed their participation at the event.

The preparations for the 2010 Geneva Auto Show, arguably one of the most important on the automotive calendar, are well underway. Since all of the major automakers have already committed to being there, the entire exhibition surface at the Geneva Palexpo, where the event is held, has been booked out. Furthermore, there will also be several new marques from emerging markets, such as China and India.

Some of the major highlights planned for the event include the reveal of the next-generation 2011 Audi A8, 2011 BMW 5-Series, and the 2011 Porsche Cayenne.

The 2010 Geneva Auto Show will kick off on March 4 of next year.

Looking forward to other releases. Mercedes SLK possibly? or even Rolls Royce 201EX?
