![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Yes, both did it in 7.38 min (with the same driver). 0-300-0 test: the CCX is the fastest IMO, but my choice is the new Turbo, followed by the GT3 and MTM-RS6.

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Good lord those are some insane numbers for the Turbo, a mere 0.5 seconds shy of the Veryon. If anyone is to end the reign of the Veyron it will be Porsche with the 998 Turbo. That is blistering quick. |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Thanks DeDe, as always... Some interesting numbers there, especially regards the CCX vs. Gumpert duel and the showdown between the SV and 997.2 Turbo. That Porsche is mighty quick off the line. Must feel like launching from a rocket. To 200 km/h it's half a second behind the SV but from there onwards... that SV just monsters it. 10 seconds quicker to 300 km/h. SuperVeloce indeed. So the thinking is along the same lines as klier's in the GT3 RS thread. In order to make truly rapid progress upwards from 200 km/h, big power, light weight and a small frontal area are the vital ingredients. The top 7 in the 0-300 km/h stint are in exact order of power output. Need those horses to force your way through the air. I'm too lazy to go and look for what a Veyron does 0-300 in...

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | Are you referring to the 0-100km/h time? I am sorry but saying the next 998 Turbo will end the reign of the Veyron is incorrect. With today's ultra powerful sports cars and their sophisticated dual clutch gearbox , the old acceleration standard of 0-100km/h isn't sufficient to separate the true supercars from high performance sports cars in terms of straight line performance. The Veyron can do 0-200km/h in 7.3 sec, while the 997.2 Turbo did it in 10.6 sec.
