I suppose it's worth mentioning that the LS has nothing whatsoever to do with the Rover 600, it's actually practically the same as Jaguar S-Type under the skin.
When it comes to commercial vehicles, badge-engineering is quite common in Europe. Take the Nissan-Renault/GM lineup for example:
Renault Kangoo:

Nissan Kubistar:

...no GM version of the Kangoo.
Renault Trafic:

Opel Vivaro:

Nissan Primastar:
...and then there's of course the Opel Movano/Renault Master/Nissan Interstar trio. And of course, there are also Vauxhall versions of the Opels. Other joint ventures are the PSA/Fiat vans and MB Sprinter/VW Crafter.
